[The video feed starts with an extended shot of the black tower rising majestically over the sinkhole. A calm, alto voice makes commentary, very much in the style of a documentary]
A strange monument, sitting over what appears to be a giant hole in the ground. I've never seen such a thing. Then again, I've never been on an island quite like this.
[A sigh, and the view pans out to include Robin, who is facing the camera. She's found a fallen log to sit on, both hands folded in her lap. It's obvious she wasn't dressed for the warmth of a desert. Quite the opposite, in fact. Wherever she had been previously, it was quite cold. A long sleeved nightshirt- now almost completely unbuttoned with the sleeves rolled up- is all she's currently wearing, though one can see a pair of thick, soft pants and woolen socks discarded on the log next to her.]
I don't recall making landfall, nor coming to the edge of a desert dressed in nightclothes, which makes me suspicious. I've seen very few people about, and they seem to be rather wrapped up in preparations for some event. Something about an apple harvest. In any case, they're quite secretive, and less than willing to speak with me lest they unwittingly leak some information about the event during the course of normal conversation.
[Her expression grows a shade darker.]
My first conclusion is that I was correct not to trust those revolutionaries outright. I've done a little research on Baltigo, and this island does not match the description. A joke, perhaps? Judging from the character of his father and his son, it isn't unlikely. However, I haven't known either of them to play potentially harmful pranks such as this. Another possibility, I've been marooned. Perhaps those that I've met weren't revolutionaries at all. Though I had nothing of worth to steal, so it isn't likely they're pirates, and anyone associated with the Marines would have likely taken me as quickly as they could to Impel Down.
Mysteries within mysteries, and I've woefully little information to work with. At least they left me this odd device. It isn't a Den-Den Mushi, but it seems to work similarly.
[Brightens]
So. I suppose I'll make a general inquiry. What is the name of this island, and where would one go, if they sought to obtain passage to the Grand Line?

Though really, your 'general inquiries' aren't all that general. For one thing, I wouldn't call this an island. For another, I kinda doubt that this is on whatever Line have you.
What I can say is that your luck is just about as damned as the rest of us.
